Drive to the Beach : Plotting

The drive to Fort Myers Beach is an episode that I have every weekend if we do not have practice or games. The drive is an experience itself to go along with the adventures we end up having at the beach.  I gather up my willing teammates on our days off and ask them if they want to go to the beach. Most of them turn down this offer but a few think it's a good idea and come along. We pack up our beach essentials which include a chair, a cooler, sunblock, and a speaker of course! We load up the Jeep and off we go fifteen minutes down the road. The beach is about five miles from the dorms, where we live, so it is nice to be a driving distance away from the beach. Right before you approach the bridge we hit traffic. What is Florida without traffic, it would not be Florida. A quick green light flips to red and I slam on my breaks. I hear laughs from my teammates and I look over and she dumped her water bottle all in the floorboard of my Jeep. We started laughing so hard that I did not look up to see if the light had changed and I ended up getting honked at to pay attention. Finally, we made it to the bridge that crosses over to the beach, it only took thirty minutes to go two miles but we are on beach time, right? I drive over to our favorite spot to park on Fort Myers Beach, the discount liquor store. It is a perfect, cheap spot and a straight shot to the beach from the store. Thankfully, we found a spot close to the back of the shop and go up to the counter to pay for parking. I get the parking ticket and come back to find my teammate outside of my Jeep arguing with an older lady about hitting my door when she opened her car door. My Jeep is lifted so when the lady opened her door it only hit my running board on the side of the Jeep, so it was not horrible damage just some paint. After I settled everything out with my teammate and the lady, we both unloaded the Jeep as fast as possible and ran to soak up the Flordia sunshine.
